Empowering Innovation at #BCX24: Welotec's Comprehensive Engagement

At one of Europe's largest AI and IoT hackathons, BCX24, hosted by Bosch in Berlin from February 26-28, Welotec proudly steps forward as a key partner. BCX24 is not just a typical event; it’s a convergence of brilliant minds dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI and IoT.

What is a Hackathon?

For the uninitiated, a hackathon is an event where individuals collaborate intensively over a relatively short period—30 hours in this case—to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype. Participants form small teams around a user story, and the goal is to bring that story to life through innovative technological solutions.

Challenges at BCX24

This year, BCX24 presented two main challenges: Industry and Mobility. Our Edge Gateways, along with the Cloudrail stack and sensors, were integral to the Industry Challenge. Teams had the freedom to create their own user stories or tackle pre-defined ideas, such as "Solution to detect and fix broken machines with augmented reality in combination with chatbots." The diversity of participants was truly remarkable, ranging from individual developers to full company teams. Additionally, there were representatives from coding schools and hackerspaces, adding a rich variety of perspectives and expertise to the event.

Welotec's Engagement and Networking

Throughout the hackathon, we engaged in discussions with everyone—from partner companies to participants—fostering networking and collaboration. This interaction was a cornerstone of our participation, allowing us to understand the needs and aspirations of the tech community better.

Looking Ahead

The hackathon culminated in a grand celebration at the subsequent BCW conference. This party was not just a festive conclusion but a testament to the hard work, creativity, and collaborative spirit that defined BCX24. It was a moment to recognize the achievements of all participants and to look forward to the future of technology. Our participation in BCX24 reinforced Welotec’s commitment to driving technological innovation. The feedback and connections we made are invaluable. We remain dedicated to empowering the tech community and look forward to our next opportunity to showcase our cutting-edge technologies.

Join us on this journey as we continue to shape the future of technology, one hackathon at a time. Together, we can drive innovation and create solutions that make a real difference.

Stay tuned for more updates and insights from Welotec as we continue to engage with the brightest minds in technology at events like BCX24. Let's innovate and collaborate to build a smarter, more connected world.
