Stefan Richter is the Electrification Strategist within RedHat's Edge and AI Sales Development team. He is responsible for adoption of RedHat's rich product portfolio of trusted and reliable open-source softwaretechnologies for mission-critical infrastructure to power grid management and substation automation. He has a strong professional background as software engineer for real-time embedded systems, including 10 years at ABB in various roles as researcher, R&D project manager and head of software development in ABB's substation automation and medium-voltage driven businesses. In 2017, he was awarded the title of Professor at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and also holds a BSc and MSc in Software Engineering.

Dr. Alexander Lougovski

Software Manager - Virtualization at Red Hat

Alexander is a Software Manager at Red Hat. He is primarily responsible for leading development of the Real-time Virtualization and Virtualization on ARM in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.  He brings a unique blend of academic and industry expertise to his work on the virtualization topic. Following an 8-year career in academia, where he earned his Ph.D in Medical Image Reconstruction and contributed to a quantitative analysis of PET, Alexander transitioned to the automotive industry. There, he applied his knowledge in time and safety-critical systems to develop advanced driver assistant systems and automated parking solutions.

 

Since joining Red Hat, Alexander has leveraged his broad experience to contribute to the  modernization of manufacturing and industrial systems, particularly in areas of  factory automation and substation digitalization.
