Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR) and the German Packaging Act (Verpackungsgesetz – VerpackG) require manufacturers and distributors to take back used packaging and ensure its proper reuse or recycling.
Welotec GmbH exclusively supplies commercial customers. Therefore, the transport, secondary and sales packaging used by Welotec does not normally arise at private end consumers and is not subject to participation in a dual recycling system. Such packaging is subject to the take-back and recovery obligations pursuant to Section 15 of the German Packaging Act (VerpackG).
Welotec GmbH is registered with the German Packaging Register (LUCID) operated by the Central Agency Packaging Register Foundation.
Return of Packaging
Customers may return used and empty packaging of the same type, shape and size to Welotec GmbH. Returned packaging will be reused or recycled in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Customers are responsible for organizing and paying for the transportation of returned packaging to Welotec. No additional charges apply for the acceptance and recovery of the packaging itself. For regular business relationships, packaging may also be returned as part of a future delivery, subject to prior agreement.
Packaging accepted for return must be completely emptied, free of contaminants and suitable for transportation.
Customer's Own Recycling Option
Alternatively, customers may arrange for the proper reuse, recycling or disposal of packaging through suitable recovery systems. In such cases, a return to Welotec GmbH is not required. Where legally permissible, this constitutes an agreement within the meaning of Section 15 (1) sentence 4 of the German Packaging Act (VerpackG).
We recommend separating packaging materials by type and directing them to the appropriate recycling streams.

- Customer number or reference to the related delivery
